Dwayne Phillips has worked as a software and systems engineer with the U.S. government since 1980. He has written The Software Project Manager's Handbook, Principles that Work at Work, IEEE Computer Society, 1988 and Image Processing in C, R&D Publications, 1994 (second edition available in electronic for on fatbrain.com - ematter). He has a PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Louisiana State University. Dwayne lives with his beloved wife Karen and three sons in Reston, Virginia, and spends his time with church work, writing, and going to soccer, football, basketball, and tennis practices and games with his sons.
