Rick Rene

Rick Rene is a Sr. Principal at Daugherty Business Solutions helping run and expand the Dallas office. He has CIO and CEO expereince and has passion for Program Management/PMOs, Mobility, Agile Application Development, Cloud Computing/Connected Devices and Social Media (over 8,000 followers discussing IT value).

For 10 years Rick worked for Accenture. As an Accenture Partner he served many clients in implementing complex IT solutions including helping CXOs define their organizations/strategy and executing to their IT plans. Rick was a key executive during Accenture’s IPO and drove significant revenue, even during difficult economic times.

Prior to Accenture, Rick was the VP of IT for Excel Communications reporting to the CEO. This was during Excel’s hyper growth stage and Rick helped lead the company to a successful IPO. Shortly after Rick joined Excel, the company more than tripled in size in less than a year, growing from $300 Million to over $1 Billion in annual run-rate revenue. Rick led 300 employees and 100 contractors in helping transform the company to be able to handle its high growth and become the 4th largest long-distance telephone company in the mid-1990s.
